Building Florida On A Strong Foundation

Woman-Owned & Locally Operated

HOW IT STARTED

In the midst of economic recession, two engineers left the security of their jobs with one of the largest engineering design companies in the United States to pursue a dream. Through their combined experience, the guidance of respected senior engineers, and a lot of learning, AREHNA Engineering, Inc. was founded in 2009, with operations based out of the owner’s home.

Despite the economy, AREHNA was launched into the Geotechnical engineering industry through a variety of private and sinkhole investigation projects. They were soon able to move their operations to a small office in Tampa and hired several experienced engineers to lead the influx of work.

By 2010, AREHNA was established as a certified DBE organization, FDOT prequalified, and had landed its first FDOT project. In 2012, the company opened a fully renovated, 6700 sqft office in the heart of Westshore and began providing full-service materials testing. Two years later, the company expanded to the South Florida market and opened an office in Broward County.

15 YEARS STRONG

In the years since 2014, AREHNA has opened offices in Orlando, Miami, and relocated the Broward office to larger space to accommodate their second certified laboratory. AREHNA now holds a variety of certifications with municipalities throughout the State of Florida, maintains two certified labs, and operates three geotechnical drill rigs.

While still a small business, our team has grown to over 50 employees between our three main offices. With the expansion of our team, we continue to strengthen our training procedures, certification programs, and quality control processes.

AREHNA strives for ways to set ourselves apart from the rest and tap into new opportunities throughout the state. Through the expertise of our staff, advancing technologies, and quality connections we have established, AREHNA has much to look forward to in the years ahead.

UNPARALLELED EXPERIENCE

Our engineers’ project experience spans thousands of geotechnical, forensic and construction materials testing projects, including elements related to roadways, bridges, airports, power plants and distribution facilities, water and wastewater treatment plants, utilities and other City, County and State projects requiring engineering and testing services to support new development and maintain existing infrastructure.

AREHNA has a full service geotechnical and construction materials lab which is AASHTO accredited, USACE validated, and FDOT approved. AREHNA is prequalified in FDOT Work Groups: 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.4.1, 9.4.2, 9.5 and 10.3.

AFFILIATIONS

At AREHNA, we maintain a strong presence and commitment to industry organizations and provide leadership to professional development organizations. Our President, Jessica McRory is President of the ASCE Florida Section West Coast Branch, and is highly active in mentoring to the University of South Florida Student Chapter.
